"Human ego investment" applies equally across the board, to people like you who are slowly being proven wrong, to the naysaying journalists who are endangering their hard-earned credibility, to agenda-driven reporters like Hersh, and, of course, to people like me.

An obvious point. No need to waste bandwidth on it or to declare Hunt's article particularly wise.

For now, those who have suffered from a faulty ego investment lie at your side of the divide. This may not continue, and I'm realistic enough to say so. You, however, will never accept the proposition that the invasion was a good idea even if 15 years from now the history books and the face of the Middle East establish that it was. As you like to say, you will have "moved on."
