What is it you don't understand?

In other words:

Broken arms & legs and gunshot wound do not sound like Iraqis wanted to inflict pain (torture) on this girl. They sound like combat wounds, or even wounds sustained while trying to run away from your capturers, jumping out of a cell window, etc.

If they had wanted to inflict pain (torture) on the captive girl, they could have broken her fingers one by one, put out cigarettes on her face and body, pulled out her nails etc.

I hope this is clearer. I am running out of ways to rephrase my point to make it clearer.

your reply to me that suggests that it would not be torture because it was "only" broken arms and legs

*Sigh*

If Iraqis indeed deliberately broke her legs and arm AND shot her just to cause her pain, then that is torture.

However, I doubt that is the case, because of all I have said in this post:
