Thanks; I see that AFFX is trading in the low $23s after hours. The Short Portfolio started it this very afternoon; even better timing for better entry. And thanks to Ralf for ensuring I did not dither about this.

For now, I rescind my notion of reloading in the low $20s. I fear AFFX was priced for perfection, and could fall well into the teens for failing to deliver to this degree.

This may also have bad implications for the trickle sector in general. I note Rick lightened a bit on NBSC today. There may be some rebound as the NIH funds become available a quarter or two down the road, but I'd say the spring rally is over in these parts. Trickle is not likely to go shopping until the summer doldrums, unless an irresistable opportunity comes up.
