Unfortunately, this seems to be the prevailing attitude by the right.

I believe Bush is spending too much time and energy on the war, and it is clouding his overall responsibilities. Our standing in the world at in tatters, and the economy is on the edge of a very sharp precipice. If he continues to ignore the economy, or to continue to hold to outdated views, then we're sunk.

Is his answer *really* tax cuts and sharply higher deficits?
