I never claimed the opposite and you know it. The tide that is turning is the anti-American sentiment which I predicted 2 weeks ago had gone to an extreme level and would reverse. This is what is happening. It started the day Paul Celucci gave us our dressing down. He showed great leadership since Cretien wasn't willing to step in. Had the sentiment continued to get more angry, real damage could have occurred. The symbolic stuff that is happening in France, 'Take home your trash' grafitti at war cemetaries, is very damaging. I am glad that Celucci stepped in before the 'madness of crowds' get too carried away.
