Off topic venting of one of the more incredible driving experiences of my life: I just came back from town for a little sea food. Our weather is on the edge of rain or ice. Driving down the interstate and coming on to my exit when I let off the gas to make my exit my ass breaks loose but I am under control when I hear a roaring engine at my side. I look out my side window and here comes this gal by me at about 70, sideways, coming across in front of me and totally out of control. As a side lesson for all I think she likely had her cruise on because although she was out of control the rear wheels were really driving and I don't think she was doing that intentionally. Anyhow she comes across the front of me sideways and hits a sign which I avoid but then hits the guardrail and pitch's over the very steep ditch end over end perhaps 4 times. I make my way to the shoulder and then drive over the edge myself to get out of the way to go assist and run down to her truck. I am no sooner out of my truck and here comes another vehicle sideways through the ditch which just miss's us. I yelled at Kristy to hit the Onstar red cross button and just say "I need ambulance's and police" which she does. I get down to the gal in her truck and she is unhurt other then rattled but I hear a guy scream and look up and here comes a pickup truck doing cartwheels right at us. We miss that and the gal I was helping has hit her Onstar button and the guy is on immediately saying do you need assistance. She doesn't respond so I talked and said yes we need police and ambulance's and he said you are at the Hwy 12 exit of I 94 and they are on the way. Amazing. After the emergency people get there I run back up to my truck to get going and get the hell out of the way. Kristy is standing outside the truck screaming at me in hysterics to get her out of here before we get run over. I yelled up the hill to get in the fucking truck and put your seat belt on for god's sake and don't stand in the roadway. She no sooner gets in the truck and right between me and the truck comes a car sideways through the ditch that rolls over. They were OK but I have no doubt it would have gotten K if she had not gotten in the damn car. Another lesson stay in the f-ing car during this! I get to the car to get in and drive to freedom and hear a horn and here comes a white van going end over end across the front of me. I see something pop out the side window and take off thinking the worse but it was just clothes. The guy comes out the door and starts wandering and a cop runs down and I am yelling come to me, come to me. They look up and say why and I yell come to me and get the fuck off the ditchway. Now they get it and start moving my way when here comes another car and just f-ing t-bones this van and destroys it. I've never seen anything like this and Kristy is totally wigged out. Anyhow we are home and safe but what a wild night. Excuse my lack of writing skills but I am a venting machine. Very incredible stuff. I would add that nobody that I was involved with were hurt even a little. All had their seatbelts on. Sadly across the hwy looking at the crews I suspect some were hurt badly and perhaps fatal.
