You mean like what the 101st Airborne discovered when they attempted to meet with a Shiite holy man? Check today's news if you haven't seen that one yet.

Except for the Kurds and those who've been Saddam's political enemies, there's been no request for liberation from the Iraqi people, nor has there been any request from Iraq's neighbors that the US intervene and liberate the Iraqi people.

As I've writeen often, this war has nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction; this war has nothing to do with liberating the Iraqi people; this war has nothing to do with instilling democracies in the Middle East.

This war has to do with Bush getting the credit for 'taking Sadadm' down and thereby making him a better bet for reelection; this war is a gold mind for even the most ardent supporter has to agree is an oil-greased administration; this war is to cover over a very bad economy and to enable a wrecking ball on environmental, health care and other important policies.

How ironic that Bush is stating he'll implement in Iraq what the Democrats call for here.

Oh, well. I've had my two cents for the evening.
