This is only partially true. You are on the right track in two points but miss the third. Yes they do feel they have no stake in the government. And yes they blame US for everything those governments do, even when such blame is not justified. But you missed two important factors that draws attention to US. Number one, West in general and US in particular has been instrumental in bringing those regimes to power. Secondly, US continues to have very cozy relationships with many of those leaders, despite all advertisement for democracy and freedom.
