I have been thinking of how we should address the french
during the post war rebuilding of Iraq. I think it would
be good to invite them to contribute 10-20% of the cost
to rebuild Iraq. This invitation would contain no
quid pro quo agreements about anything. Just let them
pay. No voice, no influence, no assurance of contracts, no say in
the political structure. Just let them pay, then let
history take its course with them, then we'll see.
