The market could go either way in my opinion largely based on the progress in the war which if successful could help to ignite a true economic recovery. Unfortunately I honestly believe that we are in a second recession. One that could last a while if the war in Iraq is protracted and the threat of additional terrorism does not diminish.

Take a look at the bottom chart here Bob. It's the Put to Call Ratio/the VIX Ratio. A cross over of the shorter average above the longer term moving average here would indicate another leg down for the market:
