the market might have a look at Alcoa's balance sheet. $192mm of 'pro-forma' net income, yet cash didn't move and they have $300mm more debt. inventories are up more than 6% yr-yr despite shipments down almost <5%> (same order of magnitude on a sequential basis as well); got over-absorption of fixed costs into inventory so we can make numbers? (this accusation is backed by / consistent with the fact that they are reporting gross margins increasing).

yeah, i know, nobody cares FA. Alcoa reported when they did 'cause they're hoping if nobody looks past the P&L nobody will figure out they're on their way to BK. <g>
(oops, there goes my malfunctioning trading software again, spitting out zero price targets....should i post the chart? <g>)

anyway, enough of turning this thread into an un-readable cesspool with my nonsense FA and un-necessary sarcasm. back to the weeds....
