The undercurrent of this war is becoming telling on anyone of sentient feeling , and one can see that Gorbachev is feeling it too. There are too many precedents of the past inaction of the UN simply standing by and doing nothing , while 100's of 1000's were slaughtered right before their very eyes(and ours=RWANDA)

Some not very pleasant images are being left in our minds seeing this kind of one-sided struggle , and the lessons are deep and hard for any reasoned person . The cry to turn towards the UN for now will fall on deaf ears as it should , imo , until they can rise to challenge more consistently and bring before itself squarely in open caucus the many human rights abuses that go on incessantly under it's nose each and every day...

James , have you found any reliable links yet on the rrecent death
tolls for both sides ? Of Iraqi soldiers ? Of Civilians ?

share it if you have found one , thanks .
