Most black students who enter college do not graduate -- and that is especially so for those admitted with qualifications well below those of the other students at the same institution. So how well the graduates of this or this college or university do in later life has no relevance to those who do not survive to make it up to the graduation platform.

Certainly true. But the salient point most often made by the U of M is that those who do graduate are "better rounded" having benefited by the forced integration. How else could their non-minority intellectuals get this artificially created diverse learning environment?

Interestingly I found out a short time ago that I am also a minority. Yes, in the eyes U of M, those of us from our remote part of Michigan are benefited with 15 extra points (75% as good as being black) in their admissions process. What a weird feeling - "extra credit" for my zip code? Personally I find this condescending. But I suppose my very close friends who did attend U of M have a different perspective completely.

Regarding WMD I hope you are wrong. Without such physical evidence (minimally the convincing testimony of Iraqi scientists) this will go into history as an unjust war in my opinion -- regardless of how savage and ruthless the regime. But no reason to debate, time will tell.

Yes "hail" was a reach. Fine job of reeling in my argument. Vindicated, I suppose, is the accurate word.

Agreed to most all your thoughts on the ultimate goals of this war. The hope of the war makers is that democracy eventually takes hold, spreads throughout, and the region is finally stabilized.

The USA is not in Iraq for the benefit of Iraqis. That's a lie.

You seem to have read something I didn't. The war makers have stated clearly the goal is to ensure their own long term security and that Iraqi freedom is simply a collateral result.

Keep ‘em thinking Mq.
