The tougher Kerry is on Bush the better. The right-wing attack dogs jumped on him the other day, but you saw how he came back fighting. He totally put Delay and Hastert in their places and reminded vets who's really on their side.

In Nam Kerry was known for steering right into enemy fire and going on the offensive instead of retreating like other commanders. One of the reasons he took three bullets. Also one of the reasons he was victorious and won the Silver Star for valor. This is also his political style. He goes where few dare to tread.

After awhile people will see Kerry is a fierce fighter, much fiercer than Bush. And certainly not some milktoast gooey elitist Masschusetts liberal. He has real mettle. He's a political Terminator. And Bush is in his sights.

Bush will have help from the Rush Limbaughs and Tom Delays, but Kerry can put them in their places.

Anyone who's not for Bush get behind Kerry now. You can see the Democratic Party isn't backing Kerry yet. But Kerry likes it that way. He'd rather run as a tough independent Democratic above the rest of the pack. That's because that's what he is. And wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air in DC to have a leader not beholden to any extremist base or party machine.
