Jay -

How many percent of the people wear surgical masks?, and besides becoming fashionable, is it also status symbol? I am just curious if the "masks" can become a fad and marketable as preventive fashion during cold/flu seasons during the next few winter seasons.

Is there varying degrees of impact on people who get the flu bug?, that some people only get sniffles and a few others get sick as a dog or even die? I think what cause the big paranoia is the unusually high (3%) mortality rate among those who get the flu bug.
