Calm down. Syria is on the list of countries that sponsor terrorism, and so is Iran. We're also fence mending with Iran. We might start fence mending with Libya before we're through.

Killing people is a last resort, sanctions don't work, before you use the stick you use the carrot.


Wrong. It will be precieved as the 'same old, same old'. US supports repressive regimes to suit it's short term policy issues.

As I have said before, Iraq will be the last military campaign in the war barring another 9-11 type event. So I don't see the need to go to war with Syria. Syria did a good job controlling Hizzbollah in Lebanon, not attack on Israel, so they deserve some reward, but, they also kept supplying Saddam with military equipment even this week, so, saying they can help rebuild Iraq is insane. They are support Iraq's war effort right now.
