Did you read the posts about helping Baath to power and later supporting Kurds against them and then hanging the Kurds to dry? There was no communism there? Not rampant anyway...as to finding you examples of post cold war world, if I make them in the 90s you will say that was just to secure our winnings and seeing to it that Communists cannot return. So give it a few more years and let's see. But I am tired of Communists being the excuse for everything. It is the mirror image of American as the source of all evil. I don't buy either image...kinda reminds me of that quote from the Soviet journalist in US.
