Kerry is one of our greatest statesmen, highly respected by leaders on both sides of the aisle, and around the world. You must be thinking of someone else. See johnkerry.com for his record and information.

GW Bush had only travelled outside the US twice before he became president. He made a fool out of himself when he went to Europe in 2001. And of course he has never been in combat, nor had anything to do with military planning. Powell is a great statesman though. Lucky we have him working for us now.
