tejek, In the final analysis, we have done far more good than bad, except IMO, the total disregard for the culture of the American Indians. Everywhere else we have incorporated into our fold, we have respected the culture of the native people. It's a shame we couldn't do that within our own boundaries.
My premise is, that if we were such Imperialists as some think we are, France, Germany, Italy, the Balkan nations, Belgium, and several North African nations, plus, would be members of our Empire. In short, no American empire exists, nor is that the goal of the government of the US. |
