I was reading about Syria, and I didn't know some basic facts.
"Following the breakup of the Ottoman Empire during World War I, Syria was administered by the French until independence in 1946."
Logically it would seem to me Israel has as much of
a claim to post-Ottoman Empire/post-colonial territory
as Syria has.
