Things seem to have worked out very well in Ireland.
Kissing the ass of terrorists? Well the IRA are gone now, aren't they? Maybe there's a time to kill and a time to make nice? The old carrot and the stick. Sad it didn't work out in Israel. Arafat should have taken that deal. Clinton worked hard on it. Offered a nice carrot. Now all they get is the stick.

Serbia I don't know enough about to comment.

Women, kids, etc. - I meant really trying to help people, not just pander for some selfish purpose. Really caring about people. You know, like Jimmy Carter does? Not for profit? Do Bushies do any of this? Ever? Or just pander to the very rich and Religious right?

The greatest thing Bush could do would be to drop the tax cuts for the rich and watch the economy re-balance itself again. I think the deficits those tax cuts cause are at the root of our market's zero confidence in the Bushies. If they'd show they can balance the books, the dollar and markets would go right back up. But Bush has committed to so many tax cuts and spending programs he's really got us stuck in the red for years to come.

Of course there's a lot of other things to do too, like reaching out to the world and bringing back the trust-trust-win-win global economy. Really focusing on clean energies, population growth and the envinronment (things Bushies dont do) and continuing an across the board war on terrorism with the maximum cooperation from allies.

Bush has ignored the trouble in Latin America, Asia and created a deep rift between the US and most European countries which will take many years to heal. You can blame forigners but the problems were not there until Bush arrived, and have gotten worse ever since. The world requires the right leadership to heal. Bush uses the stick, but he's not very good with carrots, undertanding others' interests or cooperation. Complex world, requires a highly intelligent and worldly president. Bush is neither.
