Believe it or not these are the kinds of religious edicts that have been passed and become the foundation for fatwas and rulings for more than a thousand years...I have a few books I could lend you but I don't think you'll be able to read them. They came quite handy when I was in the middle east. Sure I was a godless infidel, but after discussing a few fiqhi points with the local cleric, I became a respected godless infidel. And that helped me get around :-) ST
