If Saddam disagreed with their approach, he could have easily had them removed, instead he funded them as the article states.

The reporter rightfully claims he cannot verify any of the information. How could he unless he was working with Saddam or was a CIA agent. Like I said before no amount of information will convince you. Not even the UN inventory of Saddam's wmd. You choose to believe Saddam's statements that he destroyed all the wmd. Foolish considering it has been proven many times he has lied. Best example was nuclear program, where his son-in-law exposed it.
Again you believe his Saddam over his son-in-law. Then
Saddam said that he would never harm the father of his grandchildren. His son-in-law was shot down soon after he returned. AND YOU BELIEVE SADDAM!!! Believe him, go be a human shield.
