Likudniks coupled with Kahane's Kaach philosophy/theology have taken over the reigns of power in Israel. Ultra Orthodox rabbis are now controlling and directing the politics of Israel and a large part of the Reformed/Conservative Jewish community in diaspora! Only a few years ago the Reformed Jews in America were in full revolt agaisnt these fanatic. My father-in-law and his Reformed rabbi were threatened for holding a critical view of Zionism. Bush is surrounded by these Likudniks and they often shape the Bush administration understanding of the Israeli/Palestinian dynamics.
