Unfortunately, we might have seen first hand the effects of one.. dropped the bomb right beside us - I saw it land about 10 feet, 12 feet away I think The reporter, John Simpson, is badly shaken (at least) and the accident just happened. His estimates may not be correct. news.bbc.co.uk 1000 pounds of high explosive would have been a very different matter, even many yards away.
