Actually yes.
But in the modern age, the British divided the area giving
Israel the smallest part. After the UN set the boundaries
and Israel became a state, the neighboring states immediately attacked Israel. Israel won the wars and
has maintained the territories for security, however
gave back the land to Egypt. Israel has tried to make
some deals including the removal of most settlements.
Instead Hamas and others derail them with suicide bombings.
All along Israel has had many neighboring countries clearly
have stated they want Israel destroyed. Many don't even recognize Israel as a state.
From you post you are implying Israel has no right to exist.
