"No I do not have the same status." That's because you never became a Christian and never understood the meaning of Jesus' sacrifice and his redemption. The Holy Spirit, God, dwells only those who accept his Son Jesus.
The promised land was the Kingdom of God that Christ would establish when he redeemed mankind. AFter Jesus established the New Covenant, the Christian people became the Israel nation, the Jewish people, and the Chosen status was transferred to those who had faith in Christ.
FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY
Romans 2:28,29
28: For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
