Bob, lots of things can change in a few days. Consider this, the Mac community is wandering lost in the arid desert searching desperately to drink at the fountain of Steven Jobs charismatic and visionary leadership. Amelio the hatchet man, robbed Apple of it's vision and tried bring Fortune 500 industrial thinking to a company that thrives on spirit, not on steady hands.
Steven Jobs has inititated this slogan on all his memos and e-mails: "You cannot mandate productivity, you must provide the tools to let people become their best"
He is the originator and the only one who can bring the visionary and innovative spirit that Apple is futile without.
John Louis Gassee: "I have absolutely no doubt that he will be successful because there are too many people who will want to help him"
In my mind the NC paradigm put forth by Sun & Oracle, is an innovative and extremely cost effect assault on MsFAT, who has become fat, happy, and lazily feeding off their windoze & office upgrades. They've becomes so overconfident, they think they can become media moguls thru NBC.
Apple is lean and hungry, on the ropes. This is fertile ground for innovation. I'm voting for the Apple-Sun-Oracle good ole boy triumverate to kick some Billy B**t.
Hey give it a shot, buy some Apple stock. If Jobs sees and soaring stock price on Monday and smiling Apple employee faces, plus the coercement of all his friends - it could happen.
Mac Fans grab the brass ring, it may be our last chance. Do you really want to do windows - YUCK! |
