There never has been any PPT. It's a fable. Like the "consortium of bankers and financiers" that people imagined to exist in the 1930s. The Federal reserve would be acting illegally and scandalously, and would not get away with it, if they tried to intervene directly in the stock markets.

But the Fed's easy-money policies of the last few years, intended to prevent deflation and serious damage to the banking system, have first created several kinds of bubbles and have then delayed their collapse.
