I thought Clinton was a good president. Good for the economy and good on foreign relations. Clinton made excellent choices for economic advisors (Rubin, Tyson etc) and in general his advisors were a young, educated team.

On foreign relations out of the gate Bush did something I liked- he advocated a Palestinian state. I don't like Bush's economic team and I am not crazy about his tax plan (I think it socks the working young with this monster deficit while rewarding old, stodgy dividend paying companies and retirees who care about dividends).

I think Clinton could have handled the europeans with this iraq mess. Clinton appears to be a better statesman than Bush. Clinton really scored a knockout on 60 minutes the other night while debating with Dole when he questioned spending billions on iraq infrastructure (healthcare, education, roads) while a huge % of US citizens have no healthcare and our education system is laying off $35K/year teachers.

Overall there is good and bad with both Clinton and Bush but net net Clinton seemed better prepared for the job than Bush. I also think Clinton is smarter.

Notice I didn't mention Clinton's sex life. Thats because I don't care.
