The Definitive Word on Marginability This link is for a Federal Reserve Board document issued May 12, 1997 on Marginability of OTC Stocks: bog.frb.fed.us It states that the List of Marginable OTC Stocks is published quarterly by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. The last List of Marginable OTC Stocks was issued on May 12, and needless to say, TOPRO was not included. The next list is due to be issued in August (probably on the 11th). I have not researched what it takes for a stock to be included and will leave that research to someone else. I think that the price requirements of different brokerage houses will only take effect once the stock is on the list. So the bottom line is no margin until 8/11, at least. Hope this helps. Jim
