Yes the 9-11 era is almost over. By next year it will be three years since 9-11 with no terrorist attacks and Al Qaida severely degraded. With Iraq and Afghanistan in our hands, the Middle East will be far less safe for Al Qaida to operate. In fact, we may soon be safer than we have been in 10-15 years. Bushies would like to keep 9-11 and the "war" going forever but let's face facts. We haven't been attacked again and there is no evidence there is any clear and present danger anymore, except perhaps from North Korea which is a whole different kettle of fish.
