I don't know, and frankly I don't care -- I admire gays who are willing to sacrifice just as much as I do straights. However, Clinton's "Gays in the Military" bungle reflected a horribly misplaced sense of priority -- and did significant damage to the military in the process.

There were gays in the military before, and surely will be in the future. But it took an incompetent like Clinton to turn it into a divisive issue. Of course, Clinton never really cared too much for the military, as we know...
