Gary, <<How many wars can the US fight at ONCE? ... theatre>>

I am guessing about four Iraq-sized campaigns per year if within same geography, else three fights per year if dispersed on different continents, assuming no long-tail obligation to maintain peace, build nations and such.

But I am also guessing that the happenings can only be sustained assuming (a) no awful inflation in US, meaning (b) US consumers keep liquifying homes and buy Lexus, so that (c) Asian capital exporters will keep buying dollars to fuel US spending habit, and that (d) babyboomers do not need to retire and can earn a productive income (instead of keeping peace).

It all is a delicate balancing act for the politicians.
