Politicians in campaigns say tons of stuff.

Al Gore invented the internet.

Not really sure what your point is other than a politician made a sound bite in a campaign and his current actions appear to contradict that sound bite. Whoop de doo.

Tyrant dictator + lots of money = dangerous for others and bad life for the citizens of his country, so the dictator's gotta be eliminated. It's not that complicated.
