(Nasdaq: MOBI) today announced the winners of the annual Mobius Customer Achievement Awards, presented this year to nine companies whose implementations of Mobius software have met high standards for innovation and business value. The awards were presented at the thirteenth annual Mobius Users Group Conference, held in February at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla, California. The winners were chosen from hundreds of nominations that reflected the most innovative, beneficial and strategic uses of Mobius software applications. "This year's conference focused on helping our customers leverage existing technology investments through integration," said Joseph Tinnerello, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Mobius. "In the last year, we have introduced new products that round out ViewDirect(R) TCM, our 'total content management' suite. These include an integrated platform for managing Web sites, documents and digital assets as well as a robust workflow solution and an innovative system that ensures the integrity and consistency of enterprise information. These new tools leverage the content repositories our customers have built with our ViewDirect technology and address all their content requirements. These awards illustrate the value our software delivers to our customers." The following are this year's award recipients: Compass Bank, one of the 40 largest banks in the U.S., was recognized for innovative use of Mobius technology for an integrated content management solution. The Bank has used ViewDirect technology to help achieve a "near-paperless environment." The Bank's "total content management" strategy includes the use of Mobius's WorkflowDirect(TM) to automate loan operations and ViewDirect Contenuity(TM) for intranet development and management. Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), the world's leading equipment breakdown insurer, also received honors for innovative use of ViewDirect TCM technology. In the last year, HSB has made work processes more efficient and cost effective using imaging, automated indexing and document capture directly from the users' desktops to streamline processing. Lorillard Tobacco Company was honored for the strategic value of its implementation, which leverages the ViewDirect TCM repository across all departments and all lines of business. Lorillard updated its imaging solutions, implemented report distribution via the Web, and created an integrated ViewDirect repository that includes content from SAP's enterprise resource planning system. Using Mobius's search and viewing clients, e-Search & View(TM) and DocumentDirect, users have seamless access to an integrated repository of SAP and non-SAP data. KeyCorp, one of the nation's largest bank-based financial services companies, was also honored for applications that directly further strategic objectives. ViewDirect TCM is the backbone of KeyCorp's strategy to eliminate paper, leverage the Internet and provide Web-based access to enterprise documents. When fully implemented, KeyCorp will archive vast volumes of checks and computer-generated output each day in the ViewDirect TCM repository. This content will be integrated with multiple applications for retail and commercial customers. John Hopkins Hospital and Health Systems, a leading healthcare system in Baltimore, Maryland, was recognized for cost reduction. Using ViewDirect TCM solutions, Johns Hopkins has eliminated microfiche, dramatically reduced paper usage and achieved significant cost savings. American General Finance (AGF), a member of American International Group, Inc., provides loans, retail financing and other credit related products in 44 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. AGF was recognized for lowering the cost of doing business through innovative use of ViewDirect-ABS. ViewDirect-ABS is used extensively throughout AGF to ensure the integrity and consistency of information in hundreds of different reports, eliminating the need for accounting adjustments and multiple report runs while providing data overnight to branches and management. Simmons Company, one of the world's leading brand names in bedding, was selected for the impact of its applications on improving customer service. Simmons implemented ViewDirect TCM at corporate headquarters in Atlanta to provide a centralized repository for browser-based access to account information, customer correspondence, contracts, delivery confirmations, warranty claims and more. With all customer information instantly available, the time to resolve warranty claims, for example, has been significantly reduced. HCA - The Healthcare Company, one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services with hundreds of facilities nationwide, also achieved dramatic improvements in customer service using ViewDirect TCM. HCA uses ViewDirect TCM to manage all enterprise content, distribute it and standardize Web-based access for hundreds of facilities. ViewDirect TCM provides "one-place access to everything." Prudential Securities, a fully diversified, global securities firm, was honored for achieving high return on investment by expanding the scope of existing implementations. Brokers view customer statements and correspondence as well as internal reports. In the insurance group, customer service agents view customer policies online. Now the functionality is being expanded to both business groups by bringing insurance agents online to speed resolution of customer inquiries and by allowing customers to view policies directly.
