No, Kerry needs to attack Bush even more, every day until November 2004. Bush has had a long cozy honeymoon largely immune from criticism. He has used 9-11 and war to try and make criticism of him "un-ptriotic" but it wont work anymore.

Kerry's volley signalled the beginning of the real battle foe the White House, actually more of a war. And I'm putting my money on Kerry.

Once the "Republican Guard" of chickenhawks around Bush folds he will be left as a paper tiger and emperor with no clothes. He has no issues to run on other than war, and on military matters, Kerry trumps him. At least, Kerry can take 50% of the veterans vote. They trust Kerry and dont like the way Bush is trying to cut their benefits.
