Doug, In your mind, was Basra under Saddam's control? Umm Qasr? An Najaf? Nashiryah? Yes, yes, yes, yes. casi.org.uk The north is the only place where saddam did not extend his terror on a day to day basis. All that he did up there is gas a village.
