Tigerpaw, The test kits are not foolproof. They are meant to detect traces of assorted agents. If you get a drum of a pure chemical that is not an agent, it might be present in such a high conncentration that it forces a false positive on the sensor.

CO detectors are the same way. Made to detect a few parts per million of CO, they will give a false positive if you shellac the floor and fill the air with alcohol shellac solvent.
