Bob: I've just picked up your message from here in Brisbane, with thanks. I've just come back from Papua New Guinea where we're improving the production in a difficult part of the world. Good progress and I hope to release results soon. I'm not sure specifically why the shares are moving up but I do note a few factors: -- possibly getting that (dubious) closure on Busang; -- Barrick's activities are the kind I've suggested will help, where there may be a few good takeovers, showing the interest in building resources by buying junior explorers (although a strong preference for a) producers and; b) significant finds at; c) low cash costs); -- the gold price may been turning slowly north again; -- the annual report has garnered a huge number of requests for database listings, packages and information on Yamana; -- we're getting strong interest from majors on a few properties; and, -- the market is generally waking up again. Perhaps the worst is not past. But then again, one can hope... Cheers Greg PS: I note that this site is almost dormant. I check it when I can.
