The tree that remains flexible stays standing. Fighting Uncle Al is not the same as trying to battle the market. I do the former but stay clear of the latter.

My guess is that the current euphoria will not last longer than a few months at most, perhaps a few weeks, and maybe even petering out in a few days, once the distraction of war is over and hard economic reality takes over.

I am wondering what happens if the US stipulates that Iraq dollarize, and that all reconstruction contracts will be denominated in dollars ... the unknown is that the destruction in Iraq may not even tally up to what happened during 9-11, and so the reconstruction effect may not be great.
