Dear Harry: The only relation to oil is this: We cannot allow a dictator with the grandoise ideas of a Saddam to have WMC in the Middle East PERIOD. Being right in the center of the oil patch and with huge supplies of oil of his own he could bluster and threaten other OPEC nations to create HAVOC among for the industrialized nations. We are NOT going to steal the Iraqui peoples oil (incidentally Saddam DID, if you dont believe me look at his OPULENT PALACES). I am SICK AND TIRED of USA being blamed for HIS starving his people. ALL of their misfortunes are ENTIRELY attributable TO SADDAM and NO ONE ELSE. This isnt going to GO BADLY if we INSIST on running things UNTIL the Iraquis themselves have their interim government in place and a sound police dept. to keep law and order in place. I think this is going to go BETTER then Afghanistan cause we got a lot more to work with here. jdn
