Hi Gustave, what an enlightening statistic. Maybe the reason the prison population has grown is that our overall population has grown ? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ..... As for the proportion of African Americans in prison ..... welll the proportion of African American males ages 15 - 35 that kill each other is far higher than any other racial/ethnic group. They do this without the involvement/assistance of the police, our criminal justice system, or anyone else. Connect the dots. Chris
