Tim. Re..The cuts which I have named where cuts in the size of our armed forces.

Frankly, I don't think we need near as many troops as we once did. With the Warsaw pact's military demise, the main reason for those troops disappeared. We could and should take most of out troops out of Germany and S Korea. Rummy has shown, a much larger force numerically, can de defeated by precise weapons, and a well trained force. The Iraq war is mostly over now, and we didn't even need the IV division, all of the liberals were wailing about. So if Bill cut down on troop size, but kept up the training and technological side, then we have been well served, as we have defeated both Afghanistan, and Iraq, with less than 300 casualties, a remarkable feat.
