"This is analogous to the court throwing out the case against a known drug dealer because the police dragged out the confession by torture"

In my opinion, the situation is more analogous to a corrupt court where the drug dealers have court officials under their thumbs. ie, France saying, no matter what -- under all circumstances, it will veto any proposition to invade Iraq.

I understand what you are saying, but you are ignoring that leaders opposed to an invasion of Iraq have an interest in maintaining the status quo. The jury is tainted, imo.

It's not as black and white as you make it out to be. I'm not saying the US is blameless or has done no wrong, but its opposition, ie France, Germany and Russia, are not fair players either.

Oh yeah, if you notice, arms cache's in Iraq appear mostly to have originated in France.
