Clearly, the weapons will be found. In the first place, they're still fighting the war now -- looking for WMD is not on the top of the priority list. However, the current find is, at this time, looking like chemical weapons, your post notwithstanding. It may not turn out to be, but there is little doubt they will turn up.

There have been varying reasons cited why they have not been found to date. The latest conspiracy theory is that Saddam didn't trust the provinces and kept all the WMD in Bagdad.

They had better find significant stores or the loyal opposition will have a field day. The next few weeks should prove to be very interesting.
