OK that's a decent explanation of dichroism (dicronyism?). Too bad they didn't mention what materials they're depositing, I'd give it a whack. The piece I bought had different dichroic colors in patterns sandwiched between opaque black glass and clear glass. Quite impressive. Speaking of turbo pumps, I saw one at the latest AVS show here that looked like a small jet engine! They're making them big these days... JF
