I tried to have balanced information irrespective of what my views and preferences are... British NOW say there are pockets of resistance remaing in Basra but they are in control on the whole: english.aljazeera.net The chairman of my department called me "deranged" for saying the US military lies to demoralize the enemy with false information... I read somewhere recently (I think in an NYT article on Rupert Murdoch yesterday) that the US public prefers the news to be patriotic rather than accurate. Hence Fox, CNN etc. spin in that direction... I liked this article today: nytimes.com
