You ever picked up one of those things (M-16)? No, but compared to the normal rifles I have picked up the M16 is super light. 2.9 kg unloaded. world.guns.ru Compare that to the WW2 M1 at 4.37 kg unloaded. rt66.com There is a big difference in the ammunition too, the M16 has a lighter round so carrying extra ammunition is easier. Perhaps you thought of a machine gun? Usually those can be supported in some way I think. ps. At the last shooting club I was at in the USA, the best shot was a woman. Not that unusual these days.
