The back end quarters, June and Sept are very low. I think estimates for Sept are something like .23. Qualcomm was already very cautious in its forecasts. Are you sure you think those very low numbers will be hard to beat. I would be interested in seeing the model for why that could happen, even as China gets going with 1X and Reliance launches commercially in May.

According to Yahoo....the estimate for June is 31 cents. Working backwards from the FY estimate of $1.40 gives an estimate of 31 cents for September.

Still, I think we basically agree. Qualcomm gave relatively conservative estimates considering the strength that they saw during the December quarter and were forecasting for the March quarter. It seems to me that this conservativism is going to payoff. They should be able to make those estimates even though the first quarter has been slower than what they probably hoped/expected.

Take the above with a grain of salt....I am generally more comfortable talking about handset sales than earnings estimates. There are all kinds of factors that increase/decrease earnings besides the total number of CDMA handsets sold.
